Common questions
Go to Settings → Export Data in the app. You can export as CSV (for spreadsheets) or JSON (for full data fidelity). This is always free - no Pro required. The exported file can be shared via AirDrop, iCloud Drive, or any other iOS share sheet.
Go to Settings → Import Data and select your CSV or JSON file. Lift Banana can import data exported from itself. CSV imports from other apps may work if the format matches - check the template in the app. Import is also always free.
Live Activities require iOS 16.1 or later and a supported iPhone (iPhone 14 Pro or later for Dynamic Island). Make sure Live Activities are enabled for Lift Banana in Settings → Lift Banana → Live Activities. Also check that the app has permission to show Live Activities in iOS Settings → Lift Banana.
iCloud sync is available with Lift Banana Pro - a one-time unlock available on the App Store. Without Pro, your data is stored locally on your device. You can also use CSV/JSON export to move data between devices manually.
Apple Health integration is available with Lift Banana Pro. It is entirely optional - you don't need it for core tracking.
Use the feedback form and select Bug report as the type. Include your iOS version and app version if you can (find it in Settings → About). Screenshots or steps to reproduce are always helpful. We read and act on all bug reports.
No subscription - ever. The core app is free and stays free. Unlimited logging, routines, history, rest timer, and import/export are all free. Lift Banana Pro is a one-time unlock available on the App Store that adds iCloud sync, advanced analytics, and more - but the core is permanent and free regardless.
Your data lives on your device. To delete it, delete the app from your iPhone - iOS will remove its local data. If you had iCloud sync enabled (Lift Banana Pro), you'd also need to clear the iCloud data from your iPhone's iCloud settings. No Banana Systems servers are involved, so there's no account deletion process needed.
Common fixes
App feels slow or unresponsive
Try force-quitting the app (swipe up from the home screen, swipe Lift Banana away) and reopening it. If the issue persists, restart your iPhone. Check for app updates in the App Store.
Workouts not saving
Make sure you tap Finish Workout to commit a session. If you background or close the app mid-workout, the current session is preserved - reopen Lift Banana to continue. If data loss occurs, please report it via the feedback form with steps to reproduce.
Rest timer stops early
Background App Refresh must be enabled for Lift Banana in iOS Settings for Live Activities and timers to work reliably when the app is in the background. Check Settings → General → Background App Refresh → Lift Banana.
Import fails or shows an error
The JSON format must match Lift Banana's export format exactly. For CSV, check column headers against the template available in the app. File encoding must be UTF-8. If you're still stuck, send us the file (or a sample) via feedback.
